The staff was friendly and helpful. The furnishing of the rooms was fine, but the bathrooms are in need of renovation.
The Hotel Pawlik has probably had its best years and urgently needs a complete renovation of the house.

Great room, happy staff and a great breakfast. I can only recommend it to others, super price performance ratio. And the view into the valley is super beautiful.

a cosy retro hotel with a fantastic panoramic view over the Gastein Valley. We booked all inclusive and enjoyed the freshly cooked dishes and dessert. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful. We'll be back for sure!

Comfortable bed after a long day of skiing, free shuttle to the ski lifts at the main train station in town (and back if you're off the mountain at a reasonable time), great breakfast, and overall pleasant stay. Flexible staff - we were able to call along the way and check-in late since we were driving in and would not make the 10pm check-in time.

Extremely friendly staff; good location near the promenade route; free ski-bus to and from the ski-lift (at the railway station); marvelous view on the gorge and Bad Gastein.
The entire hotel smells like an old ashtray - we asked for the non-smoking room, but had to sleep with the balcony door fully open, since cigarette stench coming from the corridor was unbearable. Regardless of all pluses, I listed above; I would not recommend this hotel to non-smokers or families with children.

Dinners.
Poor rooms comfort, a bit cool in the rooms, no entertaining facilities. We booked 3 nights but we stayed only 2 nights (all familly caught a cold). However, we finally payed 3 nights! Is it correct?

The great staff....
The location and having to pay and book a shuttle just to go the kilometre into town..And no english speaking channels on the t V....not even the news...crazy considering 90% of guests were non german speaking.
